Bournemouth celebrate victory over Arsenal (Reuters)

Arsenal started what appears to be the post-Alexis Sanchez era in the worst possible way with defeat to Bournemouth.

The Gunners lost 2-1 having led the Cherries at Dean Court.

With no Sanchez in the side with a move away from the club imminent, Arsenal took the lead through Hector Bellerin’s 52nd minute strike.

But Bournemouth hit back through Callum Wilson who took advantage of poor keeping from Petr Cech and just a few minutes later Jordan Ibe scored the winner.

It was Arsenal’s first ever defeat to Bournemouth.

Worryingly for Arsenal fans, it means Arsene Wenger’s side have lost the last three Premier League games that Sanchez hasn’t played any part in.

The defeat to Bournemouth was precede by a 1-0 loss at Stoke and a 2-1 loss to Watford.
