Andre Schurrle admitted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s potential move to Arsenal has left Borussia Dortmund players ‘shaking our heads’ after the Gabon international’s absence saw the Bundesliga giants drop more points.
The former Chelsea attacker described the speculation as being a ‘big issue’ in the team and has made it difficult to ‘concentrate on football’.
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates, with Arsenal looking to strike a £53million deal for the fearsome attacker.
The 28-year-old was once again left out of the Dortmund squad to face Hertha Berlin and his side slipped to a 1-1 draw to remain in third place and some 14 points off leaders Bayern Munich.
Schurrle raged in the aftermath of the game as the ‘unrest’ off the pitch caused his team to drop vital points once again.
‘It’s been a big issue in the team,’ Schurrle said.
‘It’s caused unrest, and left us shaking our heads.
‘It hasn’t been easy to concentrate on football because there’s only been one topic off the pitch.’
