Alexandre Lacazette insists Arsenal fans will not see the best of him until he has been given time to strike up an understanding with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The France international has made a promising start to his Arsenal career, scoring two goals in five appearances following his £52million move from Lyon in the summer.

Alexis Sanchez’s injury-interrupted start to the new campaign means Lacazette is yet to start in an all-star forward line alongside the Chile international and Mesut Ozil and the 26-year-old is hoping to forge a telepathic understanding with Arsenal’s two most recognisable superstars.

‘Obviously a couple of months isn’t long enough to get to know my team-mates really well,’ Lacazette said.
‘I’ll be happy when I have that understanding with them on the pitch with my eyes shut. It has been going well already, as I’ve managed to score some goals and boost my confidence. It’s going well.

‘It’s good, although the weather is rather strange. I’ll have to get used to going from sunshine to cold rain in a matter of seconds!

‘I’m enjoying myself at the club. Everything is going well with my team-mates, the coaching staff and the medical team. I’m really happy.

‘In the dressing room there are plenty of Frenchmen who’ve been helping me. The English players are very nice to me.

‘All my team-mates in the squad are friendly. I have a natural connection with my French team-mates, but I am learningevery day from everyone.
‘It’s going well and I hope it will carry on like that all season long.’
