No, you haven't awoken from a deep sleep only to realise it's the middle of August.
Arsenal and Chelsea were indeed playing a friendly in July in China - why not eh?
And it's the Blues who dominated with goals from Willian and Michy Batshuayi before half-time.
Batshuayi then scored his second after the break.
Arsene Wenger's men, on the other hand, struggled to make an impression.
Arsenal XI: Ospina, Maitland-Niles, Mertesacker, Monreal, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Bramall, Ozil, Iwobi, Lacazette
Chelsea XI: Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Willian, Batshuayi, Pedro
Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea: Michy Batshuayi hits double as Gunners are thrashed - 5 things we learned
Michy Batshuayi scored twice and set up another as Chelsea overwhelmed Arsenal in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.
Chelsea striker Batshuyai was terrific with a goal in either half and an assist for Willian as the Premier League champions looked far sharper than their London rivals.
Batshuyai clearly had a point to prove after spending most of last season on the bench but looks in the mood to fight for his place even with the arrival of £67m striker Alvaro Morata.
Arsenal looked tired and leggy with record £52m signing Alexandre Lacazette disappointing and one of six players substituted at half time.
It looks as if Antonio Conte’s men are much further down the road than Arsenal whose punishing pre-season schedule in Australia and China appears to have taken its toll.
Here are five things we learned....
Trophy time
Arsenal lifted a trophy against Bayern Munich.
But missed out on more silverware today.
Gary Cahill looks happy, David Luiz does not.
Pedro almost knocked out by David Ospina as Arsenal keeper leaves Chelsea midfielder with a head injury
This is the sickening moment Pedro collided with David Ospina - only for the referee to award Arsenal a free-kick.
The Chelsea midfielder was challenging for a long ball when he was clattered by the Colombian.
A concussed-looking Pedro was forced off after half an hour of the friendly clash in Beijing and replaced by youngster Jeremie Boga.
Incredibly it was the Spaniard who was penalised by the official, however.
The two Premier League clubs were hoping for an indication of their prospects for the coming season when they met in the Bird’s Nest in Beijing.
Antonio Conte gives Arsenal permission to use Olivier Giroud as substitute despite teamsheet error in China
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte appeared to do Arsenal a favour during their friendly in Beijing, as he stepped in to give Arsene Wenger special permission to use Olivier Giroud.
As the second half got underway in the Bird’s Nest, Wenger was preparing to bring on Giroud as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
Giroud was stripped and ready to enter the fray, when the Chinese officials stepped in and put a halt to the substitution.
Remarkably, the Gunners had failed to list the Frenchman on their teamsheet for the match.
PEEEEP
And there is the full time whistle.
Willian opened the scoring before a stylish double from Batsuayi.
Chelsea look further ahead in their preparations for the new season.
90+ mins
Chelsea free kick.
Baker curls over the wall.
But Martinez holds on.
90+
Stoppage time now.
Arsenal on the attack but look to have no chance of scoring.
Chelsea’s defending has been excellent.
Very narrow
86mins
CLANG!
Arsenal have hit the post through Malen.
Good jinxing run into the box and a powerful striker - although Courtois had is covered.
Could have been a penalty just before as a Gunners player hits the deck.
Not given.
84mins
Chelsea’s turn for a heavy touch.
Kenedy powers in behind but punts the ball a mile in front of him.
*sigh*
Had the legs on the defence
82mins
Welbeck gets in behind.
He stepson the ball and runs backwards.
*sigh*
That wasn’t impressive.
79mins
As we close in in the last 10 minutes this game is as good as dead.
Arsenal have been poor.
Chelsea have looked impressive.
Plenty of time before the new season though.
75 mins
Brilliant work from Kante.
He wins the ball and feeds Baker.
The youngster is clean through but new man Kolasinac pulls him back.
The defender receives a yellow card.
Chelsea subs
Who is that?
Well it is Loic Remy. The forgotten man of Chelsea.
This could be the last appearance in a Blues shirt.
Baker, Tomori and Kenedy are also on.
Giroud chance
Giroud really has been good since coming on.
Playing for his Arsenal future.
Dragged this wide though.
69 mins
Moses is free at the back post.
But he takes too long to shoot and is crowded out.
Decent cross from Alonso.
He has been very energetic on the wing.
Chelsea chance
Luiz finds Willian down the right.
The Brazilian winger shoots.
But it is well saved.
Chelsea still a danger.
Arsenal improvement
Arsenal have improved after the break,
Giroud has given them some life.
Lacazette was very poor.
Still a long way from being at their best.
Chance
The shot is straight into the wall.
It bobbles around.
But the chances seems to have gone.
Wait the ball goes wide and the cross is headed over.
That’s the best Arsenal have been in this second half.
55mins
Welbeck has been taken down on the edge of the box.
Dangerous area for a free kick...
Giroud standing over it as it Ramsey...
It is the latter...
Batshuayi's second
Hell of a strike this.
First time and everything.
He may be a good back up this season.
Arsenal woes
Arsenal had looked so good in preseason before today.
But defensively this is reminiscent of them at them at their worst last season.
Bad omens for the new season.
GOOAAAAALLLL
WHAT.A. GOAL
Batshuayi has absolutely pinged this.
Alonso has completely mugged Oxlade-Chamberlain on the left and swept it to the edge of the area.
The striker smashes into the top corner.
Morata who?
48 mins
Early chance for Giroud.
No idea why he has attempted a volley rather than a header.
Loverly poked cross from Ramsey.
PEEEP
Off we go in the second half.
Giroud is on.
Conte seemed to say he didn’t care about the sub.
Cabelerro is alos on for Chelsea.
Giroud is coming on?
Odd moment.
Giroud could be coming on for Arsenal.
But he wasn’t named on the team sheet.
Wenger is arguing for his inclusion.
He is getting agitated.
It is only a friendly
Batshuayi goal
Good finish from Batshuayi.
Willian's goal
Willian handed Chelsea the lead.
PEEP
There’s the half time whistle.
Chelsea have been rampant and could have had more.
Willians finished brilliantly for 1-0.
Batshuayi had been wasteful, but netted a stunner for 2-0.
45+ mins
Ramsey has been good so far.
He forced Courtois into his first save.
The Welshman thumps in a the near post but the keeper pushes behind.
Pedro
Here is Pedro going off earlier.
Definitely the right decision to sub him.
He looked dreadful.
