Wayne Rooney scored from the penalty spot to earn Everton a share of the spoils in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.
A stunner from Mo Salah had seemed to be giving a dominant Liverpool side all three points, but former Manchester United striker Rooney made no mistake from 12 yards after Dejan Lovren had felled Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The Toffees were on the back foot for most of the game but managed to stay in the game prior to Rooney's leveller as Sam Alardyce continued his rebuilding job.
