Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster scored a hat-trick as England Under-17s surged into a World Cup semi-final spot with a 4-1 rout of USA.

Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White also found the net as the Young Lions emerged victorious, booking a last four clash with either Brazil or Germany.

Steve Cooper’s side had knocked out Japan earlier in the week and made a quick start in Goa, taking the lead after just 11 minutes.

Phil Foden shimmied past a few challenges and when US keeper Justin Garces made a hash of his cross, Brewster fired home.

The Liverpool youngster made it 2-0 just three minutes later, latching onto a through ball by Foden before chipping past Garces.

Brewster turned provider just before the hour mark, his right-wing cross brilliantly met by Gibbs-White, who turned home with an impudent finish.

US captain Josh Sargent - the 17-year-old heading to join Werder Bremen - got a goal back for the US, but Brewster had the final say scoring from the penalty spot in injury time after being cleaned out by Sergino Dest.

England will meet either Germany or Brazil on Wednesday.
