Alexandre Lacazette has joked he was only drugs tested because he scored twice for Arsenal against West Brom.

The Frenchman was Arsenal's hero at the Emirates, opening the scoring in the first-half before adding a second from the spot after the break.

His double continued Arsenal's 100 percent record this term and Lacazette was selected for a post-match drugs test.

A number of players are selected at random at full-time but Lacazette joked his inclusion was down to his impressive night in front of goal.

Lacazette, who has now scored in all three home matches for the Gunners, was compared to Ian Wright by Arsene Wenger earlier this week.

And Wenger lavished more praise on him after the win, adding: "I believe that he is getting stronger in every game.

"He is young and just arrived in England. The physical demands are very high.

"Technically, he is intelligent and you can see on the free-kick, he was there for the rebound like all good strikers are."
