Saturday was a good day for Arsenal, eventually.

After going a goal down to Swansea at the Emirates Stadium to a Sam Clucas strike, second half goals from Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey turned the tables and secured a 2-1 win for the Gunners .

It was a big victory for Arsenal which hauled them back into the top four ahead of Chelsea's trip to Bournemouth, and it was achieved thanks to a lot of hard work.

But it seems as though some Gunners players were working harder than others.

Because a look at Opta's post match tracking data has revealed something remarkable about Alexis Sanchez , who played for the full 90 minutes at the Emirates.

The Chilean - who is so renowned for his hard work - covered 9.4 kilometres during the match, which was less distance than every Gunners player who completed 90 minutes in the match bar defender Per Mertesacker (9.2km).

Sanchez completed 52 sprints during the game, which was fewer than all of the other outfield players who completed 90 minutes bar centre-backs Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.

And, incredibly, Sanchez's top speed of 31.1 km/h was 0.7 km/h slower than renowned slowcoach Mertesacker.

A sign that the Chilean wasn't fully fit? Or something more?
