He got 90 minutes under his belt in the Champions League clash with Roma in midweek, and Chelsea fans will hope that Alvaro Morata is fully fit and firing ahead of the Premier League visit of Watford on Saturday.

It had been feared that the Spanish forward - who arrived from Real Madrid in the summer - would miss a significant chunk of the next couple of months after sustaining a hamstring injury against Manchester City before the international break.

But he returned much sooner than expected, and will likely start against the Hornets at Stamford Bridge.

And data courtesy of EA Sports shows just how important Morata has become to Antonio Conte's side.

Because just a couple of months into his Premier League career, the Spaniard has become the most influential forward in the division.

With six goals and two assists, he's been involved 62 per cent of his team's goals, a far greater number than any other forward in the top-flight.

Morata's 82 minutes per goal scored only place him behind Manchester City's free-scoring Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, and when he was missing against Crystal Palace last weekend his absence was clearly felt.

With Morata in the team, Chelsea average a 36 per cent shooting accuracy, but at Selhurst Park last weekend - where Tiemoue Bakayoko scored the Blues' only goal in a 2-1 loss - that was down to 20 per cent.

Antonio Conte will hope that Morata's return on Saturday sees those numbers go up.
