Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has insisted that he's happy to have the quiet Alvaro Morata leading his line instead of the fearsome Diego Costa, because he's the type of person he'd want his daughter to marry!
The Italian allowed Costa to return to his former club Atletico Madrid this week after becoming engaged in a bitter row with the forward, who'll officially re-sign for Atletico in January.
And in Morata - who has scored three goals in five Premier League appearances so far - Conte has a different type of forward, but one he's nonetheless delighted to have in his side.
"He is a very polite player, I like this," he said in an interview with the Daily Telegraph .
"Also I like that he’s a good finisher, he ‘feels’ the goal in every moment, he’s very good and understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going.”
“He’s a really good guy … It means if you have a daughter you’d be open to have this type of person with your daughter, to marry your daughter! A really good guy, a polite person.”
Morata did marry girlfriend Alice Campello in the summer, going on his honeymoon at the height of transfer speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.
He's set to start when Chelsea go to Stoke on Saturday.
