Arsenal are into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after a scrappy win over West Ham.

Arsene Wenger made wholesale changes for the last eight encounter at the Emirates with more than one eye on Friday's visit of Liverpool.

Danny Welbeck was the match-winner for the Gunners as he bundled home from close range.

West Ham barely threatened as their revival under David Moyes took a hit against their London rivals.

Here are the player ratings from the Emirates, from our friends at Football.London.

Arsenal

David Ospina 6 - Only time he had to touch the ball in the first half was to deal with one cross. Didn't really have any more to do after the break as well. Wasn't forced into a single save

Mathieu Debuchy 7 - Got forward well and put in a couple of nice crosses, also set up Welbeck's goal with a clever header back across the box. Another decent showing.

Calum Chambers 6 - Comfortable night's work for the centre-back. Dealt well with what little threat West Ham offered, even when Carroll was introduced after the break

Rob Holding 6 - Played one horrible cross-field pass in the first half that almost got Arsenal into trouble, other than that he had a calm and composed evening next to Chambers

Mohamed Elneny 6 - Did nothing spectactular. Just sat in midfield and kept things ticking over, breaking up the play and passing the ball on

Francis Coquelin 7 - Looked to provide some sort of thrust from midfield when he could. Played a lovely ball to Debuchy in the build-up to Welbeck's first half goal.

Joe Willock 6 - The youngster had a quiet game, but was good in possession and kept the ball moving well. Had one good sight of goal in the first half but blazed a shot high and wide.

Theo Walcott 4 - Horrible night for Walcott. Sent several crosses straight out of play when well placed and missed an absolute sitter in the first half.

Danny Welbeck 7 - Full of running and endeavour as always. Showed good determination to open the scoring, even if the finish itself was somewhat scrappy.

Olivier Giroud 5 - Really sad sight seeing Giroud limp off after what looked like a nasty hamstring pull. Hadn't really been in the game up to that point.

Subs

Reiss Nelson 5 - Introduced for Giroud and showed a couple of nice touches in the closing stages.

Ben Sheaf 5 - Came on for the final couple of minutes but had no real time to make an impact.

Josh Dasilva 5 - Came on in injury time to replace the injured Coquelin.

West Ham

Joe Hart 4 - Might have come out and claimed the ball from Debuchy's cross for Welbeck's opener. Lucky to get away with just a booking in the second half when he rushed out and clattered the Gunners goalscorer just outside the box.

Angelo Ogbonna 5 - Stood up to a thorough examination by Olivier Giroud in the first half especially and showed one excellent turn of pace to deny Walcott a chance to cross.

Winston Reid 5 - Should have done better defending the opening goal when he got in James Collins' way. Not really tested much.

James Collins 5 - Made a hash of Welbeck's goal along with Winston Reid - bordered on comical the way the duo collided - but tightened up after the break. Didn't miss much but wasnt exactly given the runaround by Giroud or Welbeck.

Declan Rice 5 - Didn't do anything wrong. Didn't exactly stand out either, though. Effective, you'd probably say. Played right back for the final 25 minutes and did OK, one very poor cross aside and he looked disgusted with himself after doing it.

Arthur Masuaku 5 - Saw plenty of the ball throughout, overhit a couple of crosses in the second one. Made an outstanding run in the second half to set up a decent free kick chance which Cresswell missed. Faded as the game went on, didn't get a lot of decisions go his way.

Aaron Cresswell 5 - Looked uncomfortable at right wing back, not exactly a surprise there. To be fair to him, he was solid enough before he was subbed on 65 minutes in a tactical switch by Moyes.

Pedro Obiang 5- Again, very effective sweeping up in front of the defence and didn't miss too much. Didn't get caught out but also didn't play any of his raking passes he often does to start attacks.

Domingos Quina 4 - The 18-year-old saw a lot of the ball in the opening stages of the game and looked more than comfortable with it. Didn't shirk his defensive duties. Sloppiness crept into his game the longer it went on and didn't really have any effect on the game. Not what he would have wanted to produce. Subbed late on for Arnautovic.

Andre Ayew 4 - The Ghanaian played far too far away from Chicharito in the first half, barely offering him any support in the attacking third. Offered nothing of note after the break either. Crossing very poor, far too easy for Ospina to claim tjhem.

Javier Hernandez 5 - Fed off scraps in the first half as touched the ball no more than ten times and looked very frustrated in the process. Won plenty of fouls when he did get a touch of the ball. Nothing changed in the second half and he was subbed by Moyes just past the hour.

Subs

Diafra Sakho 5 (for Hernandez, 65)

A willing runner in the channels but didn't have a sniff in the box once.

Andy Carroll 5 (for Cresswell, 65)

First touch was to poleaxe Coquelin. Won a few headers but often went to Arsenal players.

Marko Arnautovic (for Quina, 82') - n/a
