Arsenal delivered a rousing display to beat Tottenham in the north London derby.

The Gunners went into the clash four points behind their fierce rivals amid an apparent power shift in the capital.

But Arsene Wenger's side stepped up when it mattered as goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez secured a 2-0 win.

It was Sanchez, who caught our man Tom Hopkinson's eye at the Emirates, though - among some excellent Arsenal displays.

Petr Cech 7 - Not tested as much as expected but made one great save from Dier.

Hector Bellerin 8 - Good battle with Davies and fine vision to in build-up to Arsenal second.

Laurent Koscielny 8 - Solid display from the Arsenal skipper and rest of defence followed his lead.

Shkodran Mustafi 8 - Stood equally firm alongside Koscielny and his header to put Arsenal ahead.Booked.

Nacho Monreal 7 - Provided good balance on the left of the central three. Booked.

Sead Kolasinac 7 - Well disciplined and kept such a good position Trippier struggled to get forward.

Aaron Ramsey 8 - Mature performance from the Welshman, stood up in a very big game.

Granit Xhaka 8 - Sort of display fans would love to see consistently. Set up first goal. Booked.

Mesut Ozil 7 - Put himself about and even outmuscled Dembele at one point.

Alexandre Lacazette 7 - Couldn’t get on end of one good chance and didn’t try enough to make another.

Alexis Sanchez 8 - Scored Arsenal’s second and got better as game went on. Booked.

Hugo Lloris 5 - Rooted to the spot for Arsenal’s second and might have got closer to first. Good late save from Alexis.

Davinson Sanchez 7 - Continues to impress and had a good tussle all game with namesake Alexis.

Eric Dier 6 - One early mistake, one very good clearance. Not at his best.

Jan Vertonghen 5 - A disappointing display compared with the Belgian’s usual high standards.

Kieran Trippier 6 - Not allowed to get forward by Kolasinac and Spurs suffered because to it.

Moussa Sissoko 6 - Looked good until Arsenal took the lead and faded out of the game a little then.

Mousa Dembele 6 - Not allowed to get into the game by Arsenal’s midfield. Subdued performance.

Christian Eriksen 6 - Hit outside of a post but largely kept quiet by home defence.
