Arsenal are eyeing a switch of kit manufacturer, despite their deal with Puma still having two years left to run.
The Gunners agreed a £150million contract with the German firm in 2014, following a 20-year association with Nike.
At the time, the deal was widely hailed, with Puma confirming it was the biggest ever for both itself and Arsenal.
But the £30milllion-a-year deal has since been dwarfed by Premier League rivals.
Reports have suggested the Gunners are looking elsewhere, and Mirror Football understands that club officials are indeed already eyeing a switch that would get them back on the same level as their rivals.
Chelsea signed a £900million, 15-year kit deal with Nike - worth £60million annually - last October, while Manchester United are into the third year of their £750million deal with Adidas.
Adidas have lost Chelsea to Nike, who also added Tottenham to a stable of English sides already including Manchester City.
With Arsenal eyeing more than double their current deal - believing the figures currently involved at the Emirates are well below market value - Adidas are in pole position. Puma do have a right to renegotiate first however.
Chelsea bought themselves out of their contract with Adidas to switch to Nike ahead of the new campaign, and there is a possibility that Arsenal could do something similar - if the figures add up.
Gunners stars Mesut Ozil, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott are all already sponsored by the German giants.
