Arsenal fans appear to be planning huge protests for the Gunners' Premier League clash with Chelsea on September 17.

Wenger Out protests were all the rage last season as angry Arsenal fans attempted to influence the board into parting company with the Frenchman by flying planes over stadiums and marching with banners and flags.

So far fans have been relatively calm, all things considered, but after two straight defeats to Stoke City and Liverpool, as well as a disappointing transfer window, it seems the Wenger Out brigade is back with a vengeance, reports football.london.

It appears that the protests will return during Arsenal's televised game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks time, according to pictures doing the rounds on social media.

Hundreds of large fake £50 notes have been printed off bearing a picture of Wenger along with the slogan 'bank of bulls***'.

One fan - clearly looking forward to brandishing the notes in the away end for the world to see - posted a picture on Twitter while proclaiming 'roll on Chelsea away'.

Meanwhile, Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick has risked the wrath of already infuriated Gunners fans with comments made during an interview with Sky Sports.

Keswick, who is also a horse race owner, spoke on camera over the weekend as his horse Double Treasure claimed victory during a meeting at Newton Abbot.

He was clearly delighted by the win, but when the interview turned to football matters he was quick to try and change the subject.

When asked whether he was a patient man, Keswick said: "Very, try football."

The interviewer then commented on Arsenal and tried to ask about the financial side of the game. Keswick was having none of it, however, and said: "Let's rejoice in racing. I much prefer it at the moment."
