After watching their team lose 2-1 at Watford, Arsenal fans were angry with several different people.

The referee (for giving the highly dubious Watford penalty). Mesut Ozil (for missing a golden opportunity to make it 2-0). Arsene Wenger (for being Arsene Wenger).

But once they see this new footage of Tom Cleverley's last minute Watford winner, their fury is going to be focused on one man: Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss midfielder was already copping plenty of flak for his role in Cleverley's 93rd minute strike.

As was pointed out on Match of the Day, Xhaka stood on the edge of the penalty area and watched as the Watford midfielder ran into The Gunners' box to slot home.

As the holding midfielder in the Arsenal side, many Gooners were keen to point out Xhaka should have been busting a gut to follow Cleverley and help his defence.

Unfortunately for Xhaka, some new footage of the goal appears to show WHY he didn't track Cleverley's run.

Incredibly, the 25 year-old was too busy PICKING HIS NOSE to notice that the guy he was supposed to be marking was on his way towards goal:

Just check out the offending image.

Here is the very grainy evidence that the midfielder was stood on the edge of his own area, fiddling with his nostrils, as the opposition attacked in the 93rd minute of a match where the score was locked at 1-1:

The new angle even captures the moment Xhaka realises he should have followed Cleverley into the box…

…and quickly understands it's all too late:

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Arsenal fans have been less than impressed:
