Arsenal fans couldn't believe their eyes when Mesut Ozil "outmuscled" Mousa Dembele in the north London derby - and immediately took to Twitter to voice their their shock.

The German, who has been criticised for being lethargic at times this season, started the clash against Spurs in fine fashion and was putting himself about as his side took a dominant 2-0 lead in the first half.

Ozil was also to thank for Arsenal's first goal. The playmaker whipped in a brilliant free-kick which Shkodran Mustafi headed home.

While commentating on the game for Sky Sports, Gary Neville said of the German international: "As lively as I've seen him in quite a while."

But it came as a complete shock to Gunners supporters when the 29-year-old shrugged off the normally strong Spurs midfielder.

As well being quick, the Belgian is known for using his strength to hold on to the ball.

Arsenal fans didn't take long to let their rival fans know about it.
