Dele Alli gave Tottenham a deserved lead against Real Madrid at Wembley - but the goal was a controversial one.

Spurs started by far the brighter side and were ahead just before the half hour mark.

Harry Winks found Kieran Trippier with a fine pass on the right and the full-back's cross was turned in by Alli.

Replays showed Trippier was offside though with Spurs getting a very fortunate decision.

Sergio Ramos was the deepest of the Real defenders but Trippier - and Alli - were in front of him.

Unsurprisingly, Spurs fans weren't too bothered, though.

They know a win in the Wembley clash will secure their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino will probably share their thoughts having tipped Alli to get back to form.

The England international has endured a difficult start to the season but appeared back to his best against Real.

Plenty though weren't happy with the decision from the officials - including some Arsenal fans.
