Ahead of Arsenal's most recent derby game with Manchester United however, Paul Pogba was seen hugging Mesut Ozil in the tunnel.
And after the game the Frenchman was seen deep in cheerful conversation with a number of Gunners legends including Thierry Henry and Robert Pires.
But it isn't the fact that the fires of passion that once sparked the derby into life have all but been extinguished that upset Arsenal fans after the match.
Rather it was the claim that their club legend, Henry, had accepted a gift from Pogba following his sending off in Manchester United's win over Arsenal.
The aforementioned picture of Pogba, chatting with Henry, Pires, William Gallas and Jose Mourinho appeared to show Henry holding a Manchester United shirt... apparently belonging to the Frenchman.
