Arsene Wenger will face the press this afternoon ahead of Arsenal's clash against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

The Frenchman is set to ring the changes for what is essentially a dead-rubber tie for the Gunners, with the north Londoners having already topped the group.

But BATE have it all to play for, sitting on five points with Red Star Belgrade and FC Koln just a point ahead of them on six.

If the Belarusian side claim an unlikely victory at the Emirates, they will guarantee their progression through to the last 32.

We will bring you live updates from Wenger's press conference right here.

That's that

Short and sweet from Wenger this week.

Key points: Another young team to play tomorrow night, but perhaps a more experienced one once the knockout stages start.

Oh, and he’s not best pleased about Jack Wilshere ice skating. Understandable, given his injury record!

Wenger thrilled with young players

Wenger is pleased with the performance of his young players in the Europa League, but wouldn’t be drawn on whether he would pick a more experienced side for the knockout stages.

“They’ve been absolutely outstanding. One positive this season is the behaviour of the squad is impeccable.

“We have a quality squad.

“We will pick a team for each game, nobody is ruled out for any game.”

Wenger not concerned by favourites tag

“I don’t worry about that. I think we have a chance to win it.

“Let’s give it a go; it’s like the FA Cup. We go straight away now to direct knockout.

“We must have a go and give absolutely everything to do it.”

Wenger not a fan of Europa League format

Wenger isn’t a fan of Champions League teams dropping into the Europa League for the knockout stages.

“I was always against it. But we have to respect it.

“We voted many times on the format, that’s democracy. The majority voted for it.”

Wilshere's ice skating

Wenger has been talking about Jack Wilshere, who is set to play... and his ice skating exploits this week.

“It’s not ideal - but for your balance it’s not bad!

“For football, it’s not great. I didn’t know about it, I just heard about it.”

Wenger confirms team will be inexperienced

“We will play an inexperienced team,” confirms the Frenchman.

Maitland-Niles is alongside him: “We need to do a professional job and win the game.”

Wenger is in the house!

And he’s straight in with team news.

“Everybody is available. There is a small problem with Mustafi from Saturday but everybody else looks alright.

“He’s got a little thigh problem, but it’s a small one. He could be available for Southampton.”

Arsenal stars visit hospital

Arsenal stars have visited local hospitals in London ahead of their clash against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

The Gunners posed for snaps with patients at Whittington Hospital and University College Hospital ahead of Christmas, giving presents out to those receiving care.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were both on hand to spread some festive cheer along with teammates Granit Xhaka, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud.

Boss Arsene Wenger allowed his players a spot of time off just two days before the BATE Borisov clash, with the Frenchman set to ring the changes.

Gunners chasing Ceballos

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly among four teams interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Ceballos only moved to the Bernabeu from Real Betis this summer, but has been frustrated with his lack of game time.

The 21-year-old has made just two league starts under Zinedine Zidane and is said to be considering a move away from the club in search of first team football.

Reports in Italy claim two Italian and two English clubs are interested in signing the disgruntled midfielder.

N'Zonzi 'arrives in London for talks'

Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has reportedly arrived in London as he continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League.

The French midfielder has not played since being substituted at half-time in the Champions League draw with Liverpool.

N’Zonzi is believed to have left the stadium after a row with boss Eduardo Berizzo.

Sunday Mirror Sport revealed Everton boss Sam Allardyce is keen on a reunion with the former Blackburn midfielder at Goodison Park.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also both thought to be keeping tabs on the situation.

His release clause is £35million with all three sides reportedly considering activating it.

It is unclear if N’Zonzi will speak to any interested clubs but the 28-year-old is considering a move back to England.

N’Zonzi said: “I love the Premier League. I really like the Premier League, this is where I started at a good level. I had a great time there.

“I don’t know what is going to happen in the future. I am fine at Sevilla, I feel good. I am used to it now. It is my third season so I am happy.”
