Arsenal are running out of patience with contract rebel Alexis Sanchez and are ready to listen to bids of around £35m for him.

The Chilean was the subject of a £60m bid from Manchester City in the summer, but the Gunners turned it down as they couldn't get a replacement in time.

However they may be willing to listen to bids when the transfer window opens - a for a reduced prices, report MailOnline.

They believe the frontman has his heart set on joining on former mentor Pep Guardiola Manchester City.

But as he is available on a free at the end of the season the Chilean may prefer to wait until then to maximise his earning potential.

Some Arsenal fans are getting annoyed with perceived 'lack of effort' - believing he should have left in the summer.

Sanchez reportedly shook hands on a new Arsenal deal - then changed his mind.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing the forward - and could use long-term Arsenal target Julian Draxler as bait in any deal.

But Sanchez is believed to have agreed a new deal 12 months ago but changed his mind when Arsenal were thrashed 10-2 on aggregate by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, according to The Times.

It is now up to Arsenal as to whether they hold on to an unhappy player or sell him to their Premier League rivals in January.

Sanchez's teammate Mesut Ozil is also out of contract in six months but is more likely to stay in north London.

Jack Wilshere still has a chance of making the plane to the World Cup next summer – if he’s fit and firing.

England chief Gareth Southgate hasn’t slammed the door on the Gunner and plans to monitor the midfielder in the second half of the season.

Wilshere, 25, has forced his way back into Arsene Wenger’s plans in recent weeks and is battling to earn a new contract, with his current deal set to run out next summer.

Arsenal have so far given no hint of whether they plan to keep the star, with doubts persisting over his long-term durability after a string of injuries restricted his appearances.

Now battling depression himself, Eboue’s glory days as a Champions League finalist with Arsenal are a world away as he fights the desperation that eventually engulfed his friend.

“We played together for the Ivory Coast national team many years ago,” he said. “He was depressed a lot. He killed himself. He killed himself.

“I did everything with him. He was playing for Wigan in England. Then he went to Germany. Then he went down into the leagues below."
