Forward Danny Welbeck faces a four-week absence with a groin problem and will miss Wednesday night's Carabao Cup clash with Doncaster.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is likely to rotate his squad once again, with Mesut Ozil (knee), Francis Coquelin (hamstring) and Mathieu Debuchy (undisclosed) out.

Midfielder Jack Wilshere and defender Calum Chambers are poised to be involved as Wenger plans to field a similar squad to the one which played Cologne in the Europa League last week.

Wenger said: "Yes [it will be a mix], but it will be a similar team to the one that played against Cologne.

"Calum Chambers will be involved against Doncaster. Jack Wilshere is involved too. Mesut is training again, but [he will not feature]. He has a little inflammation of his knee.

"Danny had a scan, we don’t know how bad his groin injury is but he will certainly be out until the international break. Coquelin as well. Debuchy is coming back slowly."

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Mustafi, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Wilshere, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez, Iwobi, Lacazette, Maitland-Niles.
