Arsenal fans were delighted when the final whistle went at the Emirates on Friday night.

The Gunners secured all three points against Leicester City on the opening day of the season, but were made to work extremely hard for them.

Alexandre Lacazette broke the deadlock for Arsenal in just two minutes before Shinji Okazaki equalised. Jamie Vardy then put his side ahead on the half hour mark, as groans filled north London.

But Danny Welbeck snatched a goal back for the Gunners with the last kick of the half, as the two teams went into the break level.

The second 45 was just as frenetic as the first as Vardy scored a second to put the Foxes 3-2 up, before Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud grabbed goals in the space of two minutes to win Arsenal the game.

Following the fixture, Gunners fans took to Twitter to celebrate the victory but voice their concerns about certain performances.

One name consistently picked out by fans for criticism was shot-stopper Petr Cech, who had a difficult game in between the sticks.

There's no denying the former Chelsea keeper is world class, but on the first day of the season his performance left a lot to be desired.

And some Arsenal fans are even calling for their boss to make a new signing.
