Arsenal's Alexi Iwobi embarrassed Barcelona star Javier Mascherano with a nutmeg at the top of the box before clinching a famous 4-2 win for Nigeria over Argentina.

Iwobi's second goal of the match completed an upset against a side that although missing Lionel Messi was not short of star power on neutral turf in Russia.

Receiving the ball at the top of the box, Iwobi made fools of the Argentine defence, slotting the ball between Mascherano's legs before dispatching the ball in the corner.

Sevilla's Ever Banega scored the opener for Argentina just before the half-hour mark before Sergio Aguero finished off a neat team move nine minutes later.

Nigeria refused to back down and pegged one back before the break through a curling free-kick from Leicester's former Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Aguero was replaced at half-time, and it later emerged that the Manchester City star had fainted during half-time.

While Aguero underwent tests in hospital it was all the Africans in the second half at Krasnodar Stadium.

Brown Idowu bagged a third and Iwobi finished the job.
