Chelsea have banned their resident hairdresser from Cobham Training Centre after it appeared the barber was taking liberties.

Ahmed Alsanawi has been styling the hair of Blues' biggest stars - David Luiz, Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois - for some time now, becoming something of a local celebrity. And it's not just Chelsea players - Alsanawi is the man behind some of Paul Pogba's craziest cuts.

However, the star in A Star Barbers (located just outside Chelsea's training ground) has received a setback.

Alsanawi has been banned from entering the training ground after conflicting image rights as well as his use of the players to promote his own business.

A source close to The Sun said: "It was ok to come and cut hair but a few people got a bid fed up, very quickly when he started treating the place like his own.

"The players have image rights contracts and the club has sponsors who pay millions of pounds for image rights."

According to the report, Alsanawi would turn up at Chelsea's training ground 24 hours before matchday when it was strictly off limits.

The decision itself wasn't made by boss Antonio Conte but it is one he fully supports.
