The Mirror has teamed up with BT Sport’s Rachel Brown-Finnis for a WSL column.

This time, the former England and Everton goalkeeper turns her attention to Europe and how it's finally time for two British sides to dominate in the Champions League...

This is the year for Chelsea to become European champions.

They have really impressed me so far this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go all the way.

The way they set up against Bayern Munich in the last round was brilliant. I was taken aback by how disciplined they were, in fact, they were tactically astounding.

Helped by what they learned from their experience last season, they showed real maturity and it was great to see them and Manchester City almost certainly book their passage to the next round.

Those two teams are impressing in WSL 1, too.

Four games in and neither side has dropped a point. What’s more, Chelsea haven’t even conceded.

Other teams have impressed me too, this time further down the table.

It’s great to see Reading really getting a grip on WSL 1 and establishing themselves as a tough nut to crack.

The whole set-up down there is brilliant — and it was great to see Fara Williams score an incredible goal against Arsenal from the halfway line. That didn’t surprise me, because I have known Fara for years. It’s great to see her back in top form.

Everton are another team who have been impressing me this season. They’ve got a very young side there but they’re making good progress.

Their win against Birmingham, albeit in the cup, shows they’re more than capable of beating WSL 1 opposition.

With Chelsea v Manchester City at the start of December, it’s an exciting few weeks in store.
