Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The former Real Madrid striker broke the deadlock for the south-west London club with a spectacular header ten minutes after the break.

The goal was Morata's first in seven games, and was enough to secure all three points for Antonio Conte's men, who remain fourth in the table.

Cesar Azpilicueta claimed the assist after firing the ball into the box and finding his fellow countryman, who leaped higher than his marker.

Morata then powered his header past David De Gea, much to the delight of most inside Stamford Bridge on a cold Sunday night.

The goal is the Spaniard's sixth for the season, and was similar to the vast majority he has already bagged in that it was taken with his head - something Chelsea fans pointed out on social media.

No other player has scored more headed goals in the big five European leagues since the start of last season than Morata (this was his tenth).

Eden Hazard has already pointed out his teammate's love of scoring headers, and previously said the following after he netted against Leicester City earlier in the season.

"Like you saw, I saw he is a good player, I saw that he scores a lot with his head... now he needs to score with his feet," joked the Belgian.

He added: "He is a top player. He can score everytime. When he scores, we win the game so I think he is good. He is in good form, even in the national team he scored three times so I hope that for Chelsea, he can score a lot of goals."
