Jose Mourinho joked David De Gea is not even the best goalkeeper at Manchester United after his heroics at Arsenal this weekend.
The Spaniard kept out everything apart from a close-range Alexandre Lacazette effort at the Emirates Stadium, as the Red Devils ran out 3-1 winners.
De Gea was hailed from every direction following the match, as pundits, reporters and former footballers alike called him one of the world's greatest.
But it seems his manager Mourinho is less inclined to sing the praises of the Manchester United shot-stopper.
"My goalkeeper is always the best goalkeeper in the world. So now David is the third best," joked the Red Devils boss.
"[Sergio] Romero is number one and Joel [Pereira] number two, and David is the third best."
The Portuguese appeared to be suggesting that Romero is set to start in goal for Manchester United in their Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.
He is therefore the world's best keeper in Mourinho's eyes, as, in this moment, he is the Portuguese's first choice. Pereira, it seems, will make the bench.
