Diego Costa has been enjoying a beer on the beach just days after he appeared to be struggling on his return to Atletico Madrid training.
Costa was snapped relaxing with pals in Spain to celebrate his birthday weekend as the former Chelsea striker turned 29.
The Spanish international has swapped Stamford Bridge for a return to Atletico after falling out of favour with Blues boss Antonio Conte.
He was informed over the summer he wasn't part of the Italian's plans and staged an exile from Chelsea's Cobham training base in Brazil.
But a £32million switch to the Spanish capital was secured last month, although Costa will not be able to play for Atletico until January when their transfer embargo is lifted.
On his return, Costa trained on his own, completing step up and ball drills as well as trampoline sprinting on the spot.
One of the two coaches working with Costa kept signalling him to go faster and up his speed.
Between workouts a sweaty and exhausted Costa bends over to catch his breath, drink some water and take a resigned look around.
