Fans have noticed Mohamed Salah is missing from Liverpool's Christmas team photo which has been taken just days before the Reds' clash against Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp and his stars donned Christmas hats and gathered for the festive snap following their evening training session on Wednesday.

Salah didn't appear to take part in training either.

Several fans commented on an Instagram post of the photo saying, "Where's Salah."

The Egyptian has been on fire since sealing a £37million move to Anfield, and is the Premier League's top scorer with 14 goals.

The winger was missing from the session because he was rested and not, as had been initially reported, because he was in his native Egypt promoting a commercial endorsement.

With just a point separating fourth-placed Liverpool and fifth-placed Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp will be keen for his star man to return fresh.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did train, however. The 24-year-old will return to the Emirates for the first time since leaving Arsenal for £40m.
