Jose Mourinho wasn't in the greatest of moods following Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

After the game he spoke to Geoff Shreeves on Sky Sports, where he complained about his side not being given a penalty and suggested Manchester City get preferable treatment.

He also claimed that the title race is not yet over, although admitted that every other team in the division has it all to do if they are to catch the Citizens.

Here is the full transcript from the interview below.

Geoff Shreeves: Jose, where was that won and lost in your opinion?

Jose Mourinho: Clear penalty. I'm sorry for us, I'm sorry for Michael [Oliver] - I think he had a good performance - but it's a clear penalty.

GS: Ander Herrera?

JM: Yep. Don't you agree?

GS: Well your reaction for him being booked for diving then?

JM: He made a mistake, the referee made a mistake, which can happen. Last season we had a similar situation here against Man City, we were winning 2-1 and Mr. Clattenburg didn't see the penalty, Bravo on Rooney, and this one was also a clear penalty. I'm sorry for Michael Oliver because I think he had a good peformance.

GS: And what do you think about that situation, baring in mind you said 'I feel that Manchester City players go down too easily'.

JM: True.

GS: Yet is it not almost ironic that your player was booked for diving?

JM: OK. The referee is a human being, he tried his best, I think he was very committed to have a good match, which I think he had, but he made one mistake, which was a crucial mistake for the result of the match.

GS: Overall do you feel they were the stronger team though, in the balance of play, Manchester City?

JM: You know they score two very bad goals, they scored two goals which is quite unbelievable to concede, and when you concede two goals like this in a match of this dimension you feel obviously bad because now you are going to speak about what they did well, what they do well, what they are good at, and in the end what they are good at they were not good at. They scored two goals out of nothing with rebounds, really, two easy goals.

GS: Did your team do enough today? Did you do enough to win back possession, were you quick enough in transition?

JM: We did good things, we did bad things, we had a complete dedication to the match with every player trying to do their best, we know they are very good at keeping the ball, they are very good in bringing one of the full-backs inside, in this match they also had an extra man with the striker dropping back and then without the striker having an extra man in midfield. Even if you try to press this it's really difficult to recover the ball so credit to them for that good quality they have in their principles of play.

GS: Is that the title over do you think?

JM: I don't know but you know I think they are a very good team, I think they are lucky, I think they have all these decisions in their favour, probably yes. But Tuesday is another day of the Premier League and I'm pretty sure that all of us - us second, Chelsea third, and the others fourth, fifth, sixth - I'm pretty sure that everyone is going to fight for points and is going to try to reduce the distance which is the normal thing in a championship, but of course the advantage is a very good one.

GS: Jose, thank you.

David Silva opened the scoring for Manchester City, netting from close-range following a Romelu Lukaku knock-down in the box.

But the Red Devils equalised through Marcus Rashford, and the two sides went into the break level.

In the second half Manchester City continued to take the game to their rivals, and restored their lead through Nicolas Otamendi.

Pep Guardiola's men later toned down their attacking play as Gabriel Jesus made way for Eliaquim Mangala, and saw out the game to take all three points.
