Hector Bellerin has delighted Arsenal fans on social media by apparently confirming he will snub a move to Barcelona and stay in north London.

The Spaniard, who started his career with the Catalan giants, has been strongly linked with a move back to La Liga throughout this transfer window.

Gunners fans are keen to keep hold of the speedy right-back, who showed promise on Arsenal's wing last season, but have been anticipating the worst.

Barcelona have previously reclaimed Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, and were expecting the do the same with the Spanish defender.

But a recent report from Spanish newspaper Sport suggested the Blaugrana have admitted defeat in their quest for Bellerin.

According to the publication, new manager Ernesto Valverde has instead identified Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta as an alternative.

And now it seems the man himself has publicly snubbed his youth team with a tweet to Shkodran Mustafi - at least that's how Gunners fans are interpreting it.

Taking to social media, the 22-year-old posted a video of himself doing a back-flip from a boat while on holiday.

Alongside the clip he wrote a message to Arsenal teammate Mustafi, which read: "Let me teach you when I'm back bro."

The fact he has written he will be "back" has not been missed by supporters, who will now be a lot more hopeful of their chances next season.
