Harry Kane is after advice from the striker he has replaced as England's main man, Wayne Rooney — about building a room to display all his football mementos.

Tottenham star Kane's souvenirs are stacking up after a stunning 2017.

His six hat-tricks this year, the latest coming in the Champions League win away to APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday, has taken his tally of career trebles to nine.

Striker Kane also has two Premier League golden boots and numerous player of the month and man-of-the-match awards to go with all the match balls he has kept to mark his hat-trick heroics.

And he said: “They’re at home. I’m hoping to build a room for them — the trophies and balls. It isn’t built yet, but hopefully it will be soon.

“At the moment they’re just in bags, in cupboards, waiting to be put up.

“Hopefully I'll need a bigger room. That’s what I’m waiting for. I’ve not seen it [Rooney's room at his house]. I’ll text him and ask him about it.”

Meanwhile, Spurs' captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris admits Kane is as important to them as Cristiano Ronaldo is to group rivals Real Madrid and Lionel Messi is to Barcelona.

Lloris described the La Liga duo as “from another galaxy”, but reckons Kane could be out of this world one day too.

The Frenchman said: “He is our main player. Like in top teams, in Real Madrid you have Ronaldo, in Barca you have Messi. But he’s Harry Kane.

“[They have] A different profile and we cannot compare what is not comparable. Ronaldo and Messi — they are from another galaxy. But Harry has got so much potential to become one of the best. Give him time.”

Largely thanks to Kane, who has scored five of Spurs' six Champions League goals, Mauricio Pochettino's men head to the Bernabeu for their toughest Group H assignment next month with six points already in the bag.

Lloris said: “It’s a good feeling — we are going to play in Real Madrid with a free mind. In Madrid we have nothing to lose, all to win.”

And Lloris believes Spurs have learned from last year's campaign when they failed to get out of their group.

He said: “It's like in the Premier League. Step by step, we improve a lot. Maybe last season [Spurs' first back in the competition since 2011 saw them lose their first two home group games and get eliminated with a match to spare] we needed this experience.

“It was, for most of the players, their first experience in the Champions League and we need to go through that kind of experience.

“The big difference is that this year we started with a great win against Dortmund. Maybe we put out some pressure and I think it is in the continuity of last season.

“Step by step, we try to become better and better, be more competitive in Europe and now the most difficult is always the next game.

“Nothing has been done yet — because there is four games ahead. We need to be serious, professional competitor and enjoy our football.”
