Kevin De Bruyne tightened Manchester City’s grip on the title race with yet another wonder-goal.
The brilliant Belgian smashed a superb, 48th-minute effort into the top corner, less than a minute after Harry Maguire had hit the post. Gabriel Jesus had earlier put City ahead, a minute before the break.
Pep Guardiola’s men are now 11 points clear of second-placed Chelsea ahead of Manchester United’s game against Newcastle.
But Guardiola was hit with a huge blow after just 27 minutes when John Stones went down clutching his hamstring. The England defender limped off and could now be out for up to a month.
Leicester were solid for much of a first-half which could - and possibly should - have seen returning Vincent Company sent off. The Belgian clipped Jamie Vardy as he shaped to race clear from Vincent Iborra’s delicious through ball.
Referee Graham Scott produced only red and City went on to dominate.
Raheem Sterling missed a glorious, 22nd-minute chance from the impressive Leroy Sane’s ball into the six-yard box.
But Sterling was central to the move from which City went ahead. The England winger traded passes with De Bruyne then fed David Silva who centred for Jesus to tap the ball home.
Leicester re-emerged to try and take the game to their guests. But City simply picked them off.
When Maguire narrowly failed to score from a well-worked corner, instead smacking the post with an effort from inside the box, City went one better.
Sweeping down to the other end, Sane teed up De Bruyne on the edge of the box. The former Chelsea star sidestepped a tackle before sending a screamer into the top corner.
City went on to miss a number of chances from which they would otherwise have filled their boots.
In the end they settled for two - and a commanding position in the title race already.
