Liverpool will be hoping to kick-start their Champions League campaign with a win against Sevilla on Wednesday night - but Reds fans are a little unsure with the team Jurgen Klopp has selected for the group stage game.

Philippe Coutinho, who attempted - and failed - to push through a move to Barcelona in the summer transfer window, starts on the bench for the Reds.

While Loris Karius, who played in Liverpool's 4-0 win over Arsenal in the Premier League before being dropped for the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City, gets the nod ahead of Simon Mignolet.

Higher up the pitch and Klopp has stuck with his tried and tested trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese was always expected to play for the Reds however, given the fact he will miss Liverpool's next three fixtures through suspension.

In midfield the German has selected Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Emre Can, meaning new boy Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain only makes the bench.

In general, Reds fans seemed pleased with the team selected by Klopp, but many were frustrated to see Andrew Robertson also named on the bench.

The left-back will again miss out to Alberto Moreno - a player who has struggled for form at Liverpool, and one who is finding it difficult to win back the affection of the fans in the same way he did with Klopp.

And well, Reds fans think the young Scot should have got the nod over the Spanaird.
