Manchester United supporters are fuming with Casemiro's goal for Real Madrid in their Super Cup clash, claiming the effort was offside.
The Brazilian broke the deadlock for Los Blancos in the 24th minute of the game, slotting past David de Gea in the Red Devils' goal.
The effort is the star's second against big opposition after he scored a screamer when Real Madrid dismantled Juventus in the Champions League final.
Los Blancos are the favourites to win the match, but United fans are convinced the goal should not have stood - and they may have a point.
Dani Carvajal played a long ball forward for Casemiro, who latched onto the end of it moments before he found the back of the net.
At first glance he appeared to have timed his run perfectly, however replays of the goal suggested he may have been the wrong side of the last man.
It is very close and as a result, very hard to call, especially as most of his body appears to be in line with the United back four.
At the break Steve McManaman, talking on BT Sport, claimed the goal was definitely offisde.
He said: "Officially he is offside so if it gets given offside, and you see these angles, you say fair enough.
"But the referee's assistant can't be that accurate all the time, one will slip by."
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid man's words will likely please the United supporters.
But that hasn't stopped them taking to social media to voice their anger at the referee's decision to let the goal stand.
