Manchester United fans have reacted negatively to Garth Crooks slamming their £90million man Paul Pogba.

The BBC pundit accused the France international of behaving like an "adolescent", adding that he should attract attention to himself with good performances, not "cheap gimmicks and marketing tricks".

Pogba is known to chop and change his hairstyle regularly, and often sports colourful designs.

But he has also hit the ground running for Man United this season, scoring twice and assisting just as many, as the Red Devils have made the Premier League's top spot their own.

And Reds fans think Crooks' comments are off the mark.

"I also want to discuss Paul Pogba's new hairstyle," Crooks said on the BBC.

"Which features a red streak. I only mention it because he clearly wants to bring it to our attention.

"There is so much for the midfielder to do at United and he still insists on behaving like an adolescent.

"Granted, a hairstyle is not going to determine how well he can control a ball or make a pass, but it does say something about where his mind is at the moment.

"If you are going to attract attention to yourself on a football pitch do it with goals and performances, not cheap gimmicks and marketing tricks."

Taking to Twitter to respond to the former Spurs striker, Man United fans hit back.
