Angel Gomes has shown his love for Manchester United after facing the wrath of the fans for 'liking' a picture of Manchester City's derby celebrations.
The teenager was caught out after he apparently showed his support for Brahim Diaz's Instagram post, which was captioned "Manchester is blue!"
The image showed the Manchester City players congratulating each other after their massive 2-1 victory over the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
Responding to Gomes' 'like', one Man United fan claimed the player should be sold, adding: "I don't care if he's a promising player, this is disgraceful".
While another Red Devils supporter said: "[It's] simply disgusting to like 'Manchester is blue' for a player (sic) from our own academy.
"10 years ago he would've been crucified by the likes of Rio [Ferdinand] and Gary [Neville], sad that we don't have characters like them anymore."
Gomes took to Instagram on Wednesday to set the record straight, following the uproar that was sparked on the back of his 'like'.
Without using words, he showed he's very much a Red by posting an image of himself in his Man United strip with two heart emojis.
