Manchester United have handed a trial to a 14-year-old Swedish wonderkid called Rines Arifi.

The midfielder, who was reportedly spotted by a Marseille scout, will train with the club between 23-29 October.

Arifi currently plays for Husie IF's second and third string youth teams and is looking forward to his trial.

"It feels great and exciting," Arifi told Lokaltidningen. "Manchester United have been my favourite team ever since I was little."

The lad's father, Hajriz, added: "It is not possible to describe how amazing it is to get a trial."

If Arifi were to join the Red Devils he would become the side's third Swede, following in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Victor Lindelof.

The midfielder added that his three idols are Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba.
