Manchester United would need to lose by seven goals against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night in order to not qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.

But despite that, there was no signs of any complacency as Jose Mourinho put his side through their paces at their Carrington training base on Monday afternoon, with Paul Pogba present after his weekend red card against Arsenal.

United are all but through to the next round, and so Mourinho could be set to ring the changes as he welcomes the visit of the Russians.

Here's what was going down.

1. Paul Pogba was still thinking about his Arsenal red card, but at least he'll get to play here

The Frenchman will miss the next three Premier League matches through suspension - against Manchester City, Bournemouth and West Brom - but at least he'll be able to play here, with Mourinho confirming that he'll start in his press conference.

He'll doubtless be determined to put in a good display after his weekend red card, and so this game could end up meaning more to him than most.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided he's coming for Eric Cantona's crown with the old collar pop

The big Swede has enjoyed a seamless return to Old Trafford following a long injury lay-off, restoring his reputation as the coolest man at the club.

In fact, the only person unhappy he's back is one misfiring Romelu Lukaku.

3. Luke Shaw does David Attenborough proud with his impression of a rhino giving birth

"Is he still here?" (

Seriously, anyone who doesn't remember the Ace Ventura rhino scene needs to get on YouTube now and have a look.

You'll never be able to look at Luke Shaw in his snood in the same way again.

4. David De Gea emerged for training having just read the reviews for his performance against Arsenal

The Spaniard was in brilliant form against the Gunners at the weekend, with his tally of 14 saves the joint-most any keeper has ever pulled off in a Premier League game before.

Despite that, Mourinho still maintains that he's only the third-best goalkeeper at his club... on Tuesday anyway.

Click here if you want that to make sense.

5. Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba add the finishing touches to their latest work of art...

The young winger has been in great goal scoring form recently, and even better goal celebrating form, so it's no surprise he's been working on his latest routine with Mr Pogba now, is it?

6. Phil Jones is always happy to carry the smaller members of the team around. In fact, he's the father of the group

Who better than the big centre-back to ferry you around the training ground on a cold Monday afternoon than Mr Jones, eh?

Ander Herrera certainly agrees anyway... he loves a good old piggy back does our Ander!

7. And tennis doubles ace Jamie Murray was there for some reason

Here he is! (

Yeah, we don't really know why either.
