Marko Arnautovic has promised Austria will give everything until their fading World Cup bid is dead.

Attacking ace Arnautovic became Austria’s most expensive player ever after joining West Ham from Stoke for £24million in July.

He has 15 goals in 62 caps, including two in the costly 2-2 home draw with Wales last October when Arnautovic felt robbed.

Arnautovic said: “We have dominated this match and deserved the victory.

“Now we should give gas and everyone should fight for the other until the fall.”

But Arnautovic’s season got off to a nightmare start as he was red-carded on his second appearance for elbowing Southampton’s Jack Stephens.

He has had to watch as the Hammers have failed to get a single point from their first three League games.

But ahead of Austria’s crunch World Cup qualifier in Wales tonight (Saturday) Arnautovic added: “I do not regret the change, quite the opposite.

“I’m really looking forward to the new task, the team has a lot of potential.

“I know how to deal with the pressure.

“The red card was unfortunate, but I am clear with the situation.

“He was a bit too far down with the body, and when he is upright I can not catch him where I’ve caught him.”
