Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal hangs in the balance.

The German midfielder, who signed for the north Londoners in 2013, is out of contract at the end of this season.

Ozil has yet to agree a new deal with Arsenal, and some reports have linked the 29-year-old with a move to Manchester United where he would reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho.

However, during a mock press conference set up by Sky Sports , Ozil's passionate response to a children's question could suggest he won't be leaving at all.

One of the members of the Young Gunners fan club asked Ozil why he joined Arsenal.

"Because of the history and the amazing players," Ozil replied. "I'm here to learn, to grow up and to show my talent for this club.

"This club has made me bigger. I'm so proud to play for a big club like Arsenal."

If Ozil has decided he will leave at the end of the season, Arsenal may decide to cash in on him on Janaury.

However, Arsene Wenger reckons the World Cup winner wants to stay with the Gunners.

"I believe he wants to stay, he is not to be convinced [to sign a new contract]," said the Arsenal boss.

"You want nobody to leave and you see where we stand on that. But at the moment, it's very difficult.

"Until the end of the season we know what it is, but after that, I cannot tell you."
