If you've played for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United then you're going to have played with some pretty stellar names.

And Michael Owen has done just that.

The former England forward scored 40 goals for his country while winning every domestic honour that the English game has to offer, and so when he was asked to name the best XIs he played both with and against he was always likely to come up with something special.

And he did.

Revealing his choices on Twitter , Owen - who is these days a pundit for BT Sport - wrote: "Just picked the best players I've played with and against for our Premier League world feed show with @SteveBowerComm. Not an easy job!"

But which side is the better one?

Well, let's take a look at them.

Teams Owen played in didn't often go with three at the back, but that's what he's opted for in order to fit in as many star names as possible, with Brazilian Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney leading the line.

The midfield three of Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes and Zinedine Zidane is absolutely obscene, but it might leave Stevie G with a bit more defending to do than he likes.

Jamie Carragher, Rio Ferdinand and Sami Hyypia form a fairly impenetrable back three, but a penny for David Beckham's thoughts at right wing-back?

It's a 4-4-2 for the Against XI, and it looks absolutely incredible.

Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry play upfront together, with Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the right-wing (where he'd often have played when Owen faced him in the Premier League).

There are places for Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard - both of whom could have got in the other team - and a back four featuring World Cup winners.

All of which begs the question...
