Jose Mourinho criticised his Manchester United players despite their Basel win - and now PlayStation have poked fun at the Red Devils boss.

United breezed past Basel in their Champions League opener as goals from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford secured a 3-0 win.

But despite the victory, Mourinho was unimpressed with his stars after taking their foot off the gas.

He claimed they were playing "PlayStation football" during the second-half as they failed to add to the tally.

And the gaming brand has now hit back - and poked fun at Mourinho's apparent defensive tactics over the years.

They tweeted the United boss directly, posting: "Sorry @ josemourinho, no parked buses at PlayStation... we are here to entertain!"

United are next in action against Everton on Sunday where Mourinho will expect a professional performance.

Speaking after the win over Basel, he said: "We made bad decisions.

“Fantasy football, Playstation football, tricks - and when you stop to play as a team and when you stop to play seriously, I don't like and you gamble a little bit.

“Probably the players felt that the game was under control with the 2-0 lead, but football is football and you have to respect your opponent.

“Until 2-0 we played it very stable, with confidence, with patience, with good choices and we played, I'd say, quite well. After the 2-0 I think everything changed and we stopped to play, stopped to think and stopped to play seriously.

“We stopped to make the right decisions on the pitch and we could put ourselves in trouble, but they didn't score and the third goal came.”
