Jose Mourinho has been an easy target in recent weeks with Liverpool particularly dissatisfied with Man United 's approach at Anfield in the 0-0 draw.
Pundit Steve McManaman did not hold back with his criticism but Red Devils supporters have exposed his logic.
McManaman took issue with Mourinho's side, despite victory over Tottenham Hotspur as Anthony Martial settled the tense affair between the title contenders.
"I have an issue with the way he's managing Manchester United," he said on BT Sport. "If he was managing Liverpool and playing the same way, I wouldn't be happy.
"I want to be entertained, and I'm not being entertained [by Mourinho's tactics]."
United fans gleefully pointed out that Jurgen Klopp's Reds have seven fewer points than their bitter rivals with six fewer goals - which leaves them sixth in the table.
