Manchester City stayed top of the Premier League after their beat title rivals 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Kevin De Bruyne scored the game's only goal with a brilliant strike to send City back to the summit.

Pep Guardiola's side had watched rivals Manchester United thrash Crystal Palace earlier in the day, but jumped back above them on goal difference.

Tottenham and Harry Kane continued their fine form with a win at Huddersfield in the lunchtime kick off.

Stoke and West Ham picked up much-needed home victories while Watford rescued a point at West Brom.

On Sunday, Arsenal were comfortable winners against Brighton, with Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi finding the net.

Ronald Koeman's Everton difficulties continued, as the Toffees came unstuck at home against Burnley; Jeff Hendrick scored the only goal at Goodison Park to hand Sean Dyche's Clarets all three points.

And Philippe Coutinho scored in stunning fashion for Liverpool, only to see Joselu's lucky effort roll past Simon Mignolet minutes later, to hand Newcastle a share of the spoils on Tyneside.
