Running is pretty crucial to football - but just which Premier League team runs the most, and is their total distance covered linked to their success?

With 11 games gone - and the fact it's another international break - it's time to get our stat heads on and take a look at this season's marathon men, so far.

The headline news is that Manchester United sit firmly bottom of the list, covering 1162km. But given they're in second place this clearly hasn't affected their league form.

Leaders Manchester City have covered the ninth most distance so far with 1225.1.

Bournemouth are the surprise leaders with 1255.8, while West Brom are second with 1246.8.
