The crash site which left Manchester City star Sergio Aguero sidelined with a broken rib has been filmed and released for the first time.

Aguero was attending a concert in Amsterdam for Colombian singer Maluma and was on his way to the airport when the taxi in which he was travelling in careered off the road and into large pole.

Footage of the crash site shows the car's entire front smashed in with multiple ambulances surrounding the vehicle.

Reports suggested Aguero only escaped even more serious injury because the striker was wearing a seatbelt.

Aguero spoke to Radio Metro de Argentina from his hospital bed and said: "The taxi driver did not see the curve and skid. And when he skidded, we hit him with the pole.

"I broke my rib, now I'm resting. It hurts me badly. I'll be discharged in a little while."

Aguero has since flown back to Manchester and will be assessed by the club's doctors.

A statement from City read: "Sergio Aguero will be assessed by Club doctors today after being involved in a road accident on Thursday.

"The City forward was in Holland on his day off and has sustained injuries."
