Romelu Lukaku has revealed that the Manchester United team are forced to do press-ups when they miss chances on the training ground.

But it seems that the forfeit might be working for the Belgium international, who has bagged three goals in as many games so far this season.

Pressure was on Lukaku to perform from the off after he completed a £75million move to Old Trafford from Everton in the summer transfer window.

But he introduced himself to his new fans in the best way possible by finding the back of the net on his professional debut, as the Red Devils beat West Ham 4-0 on the opening day of the season.

Providing an insight into life on the Manchester United training ground, Lukaku told BT Sport: "When we do a finishing drill, every time we don't hit the target we do press-ups."

He also revealed that he spends a lot of time with Marcus Rashford, with the pair taking every opportunity to work on their partnership.

"People want to join in with us but then we have to wait a long time before we get a shot," said the Belgian forward.

"I just take him [Rashford] and go over to the other side of the pitch and do a finishing drill. We try to test each other to get the best out of each other."
