Thierry Henry has tipped Manchester City to win the Premier League this season, saying Pep Guardiola will not accept anything less from his team.

The Citizens have spent big this summer, signing a number of quality players in pretty much every single position.

They are widely expected to mount a serious title challenge this time round, after their fourth-placed finish last campaign.

And Henry is confident that Guardiola, who he played under at Barcelona, will demand his players bring the title back to Manchester.

"If I go to the big teams, I think the team that went to buy the players that they needed, and also with quality, and they spent the most, is Man City," said Henry, speaking to Sky Sports Super 6 ahead of the £1m jackpot round this Saturday.

"I think that Pep obviously recognised - and it does help if you have money in the bank to go and get those players - but he went to get exactly the players that he needed.

"You can argue the fact that maybe he is looking for another striker - that is me saying this - but I will go with Man City.

"I go with the same prediction as last year because I don't think Pep will accept having another season like that, he is not used to that.

"We saw how difficult it was for him to get used to losing, it was an unknown territory for him, not easy to deal with, he dealt with it in a certain way, so I go with Man City."
