Tottenham are ready to snub any interest from Real Madrid in star striker Harry Kane.

The England hotshot has smashed 13 goals in his last eight games for club and country and leads the Premier League scoring charts.

Kane signed a bumper new five-and-a-half year deal last December to make him the club's highest-paid player.

His exploits have caught the eye of Real Madrid, with reports in Spain claiming the European champions are lining up a mega £177million bid.

However, Spurs don't plan to entertain any discussions over their talisman.

Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher believes Kane can break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League goalscoring record - and the Newcastle legend agrees.

Kane remains a long way off Shearer's incredible total of 260 - but Carragher believes he will challenge it if he stays in England.

And Shearer even joked in current form, his record could be topped by the England striker.

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville said: "Harry Kane is unbelievable.

"He has been a completely different level. Everything he has done has been outstanding."

Jamie Redknapp added: "He is like a robot. Everything he does is so precise. He is clinical - an absolute machine at the moment."
